Croc Drop towers over Forbidden Kingdom as one of Chessington World of Adventures Resort’s most striking attractions. Opening in 2021 as part of Project Plummet, it replaced the much-loved Rameses Revenge with a new experience. However, this isn’t just a simple drop tower—it’s a full-scale adventure into ancient Egypt, packed with story and spectacle.

From the moment you arrive, the towering crocodile dominates the landscape. The ride is themed to Sobek, the Egyptian crocodile deity, and the detail immediately pulls you into a cursed world. As you step closer, the atmosphere intensifies. Ancient stonework, towering statues, and eerie sounds set the scene for what lies ahead. Meanwhile, the ride’s powerful slogan, “Brave the Drop, Release the Curse,” drives the story forward.

According to legend, Sobek has fallen under the control of dark forces. As a result, the Forbidden Kingdom is cursed, and only the bravest riders can help. Your role is simple, yet daunting—take part in the ritual and face the drop.
