Jungle Rangers
Jungle Rangers throws young explorers straight into the heart of the Rainforest, at Chessington World of Adventures, where they take control of their own adventure. From the moment the ride begins, children grip the wheel and steer their vehicle along winding jungle tracks. As a result, every trip feels hands-on, exciting and full of discovery.
However, this attraction has a long and fascinating history. It first opened in 1987 as Old Crocks Rally, offering a gentle drive through countryside scenes filled with quirky details. Then, in 2001, the ride transformed into Toadie’s Crazy Cars, bringing a playful new theme inspired by classic storytelling. Soon after, changes arrived again. In 2003, the track was shortened to make space for Dragon’s Fury and the Land of the Dragons.
Years later, the park looked to refresh this ageing favourite. Consequently, Toadie’s Crazy Cars closed at the end of 2019. In its place, Jungle Rangers launched in 2020 as part of the new Rainforest area. British manufacturer Garmendale designed and built the updated attraction. While the route follows familiar ground in places, it also introduces new sections. At the same time, adjustments to the layout helped create space for River Rafts and improved pathways.
Now, Jungle Rangers delivers a lively and interactive experience for younger guests. Riders weave through lush surroundings and tackle gentle twists along the track. Meanwhile, the simple driving controls keep children fully engaged throughout the journey.
Ultimately, Jungle Rangers strikes a perfect balance between heritage and modern fun. It honours its past while offering a refreshed experience for today’s families. So, whether you remember its earlier versions or not, this ride remains a must-do for any Rainforest adventure.
