Canopy Capers

Tucked within the Land of the Dragons at Chessington World of Adventures Resort, Canopy Capers invites young adventurers to climb, crawl and explore high above the ground. Opening in 2004 alongside the land, this imaginative aerial play course quickly became a must-do for families with energetic little explorers.

At its heart, Canopy Capers is a sprawling network of treehouses, rope bridges and walkways. However, this isn’t your average playground. Instead, it stretches into the treetops, creating a lively world of nets, slides and climbing frames that feel like a dragon-sized jungle gym.

Meanwhile, the theming ties perfectly into the Land of the Dragons’ playful fantasy setting. Designed in-house by Tussauds and brought to life by specialist contractors, every detail feels handcrafted and full of character. Wooden textures and colourful structures create the illusion of a village built high in the canopy.

One of the standout features, however, is what surrounds the course. Woven throughout the structure, the twisting track of Dragon’s Fury races overhead and around the walkways. Consequently, guests climbing through the course get a unique, up-close view of the spinning coaster as it roars past. It’s a thrilling contrast, mixing gentle exploration with bursts of high-speed excitement.

In addition, Canopy Capers offers some of the best vantage points in the area. From its elevated platforms, guests can look out across the Land of the Dragons and spot nearby attractions. This makes it not only a play space but also a place to pause and take in the atmosphere of the land.

Ultimately, Canopy Capers strikes the perfect balance between adventure and accessibility. It encourages younger guests to explore, build confidence and burn off energy, all within a safe environment. So, whether you’re navigating rope bridges or watching coasters whizz by, this treetop adventure delivers fun from every angle.
